The Lightkeepers of Tromara

The Lightkeepers of Tromara is an evolving contemporary mythology created by Giorgio Bosso. Through large-scale mixed-media assemblages, each character embodies a human quality that is often overlooked yet never lost—wonder, courage, curiosity, belonging, hope and compassion. Together, they form a fictional world that invites viewers not to escape reality, but to notice it again.

About the Characters

The inhabitants of Tromara are not superheroes or fairy-tale figures. They are emotional archetypes. Constructed from reclaimed objects, toys, fragments and paint, each character carries a symbolic gift that reflects a universal part of the human experience.

The Philosophy

Tromara does not ask us to look away from the world. It asks us to look more carefully. The collection is built on a simple belief: imagination is not an escape from reality—it is one of the ways we recognise it.
